Home Security Lighting
Three Options Of Home Security Lighting
When someone buys a new house these days, they tend to
pay a good bit for the home and everything that goes with it. Therefore, if someone were to make such a big
investment in a house, they should tend to have a high level of security to protect their investment. One way in
which people are keeping their houses protected these days is to have Home Security Lighting. Now, typically out
there on the market, someone who is looking for Home Security Lighting has three main options to choose from. The
first of these options is dusk to dawn lighting. Out of the three options on the market, this particular one is the
oldest. When a burglar comes to a house that they are going to attempt to break into, they try all they can to hide
their actions from anyone that might be watching. Therefore, the reason that a family would choose dusk to dawn
lighting would be to always keep their house lit so that a burglar would have no choice but to do all of their
movements in the light. However, there is a big downside to the dusk to dawn lighting. The electric bills of a
family who had dusk to dawn lighting, and also the bills of the light bulbs needed to repair the units would be
pretty hefty every month.
For the next option, picture a burglar trying to break
into a house, and before he even gets close to the door of the house flood lights click on and he is left in the
middle of the yard with the spotlight on him, so to speak. The idea of motion activated lighting has become a very
popular option for Home Security Lighting these days due to its many benefits, including, but not restricted to,
convenience, low cost, and most importantly, security.
Now, for the third option, innovation was brought into
play, by combining both the dusk to dawn lighting and the motion activated lighting. This option is known as hi/lo
motion activated lighting. With combining the first two options, you get hi/lo sensors. These lights are on from
dusk to dawn, but they only run on a fraction of their power, but when motion is detected, the lights kick on to
full power, exposing whoever is in the vicinity of the house. Any of the three options discussed would be good
enough to keep pretty much any burglar away.
